We’re pleased to announce that macOS Tahoe is now approved for use at Shenandoah University! To upgrade, go to Software Update in System Preferences or System Settings > General. 

Note: If you are a student and use any specialized software as part of your program, please check with your instructors before upgrading to see if there are any compatibility issues you may run into.

 

Some of the new features:

  • Liquid Glass UI: A stunning, translucent system-wide redesign that brings visual consistency across macOS, iOS, and visionOS.

  • Enhanced Continuity: Seamlessly beam your iPhone’s camera feed to your Mac for the new "Magnifier" accessibility tool or to improve video call quality.

  • Intelligent Reminders: Reminders now integrates with your emails and notes to automatically suggest action items and deadlines.
     

As always, it’s good to have a backup of your files before you upgrade. The IT Help Desk portal has more information on backing up your Mac and performing the upgrade:
